AI and generative art
Generative Center
Established in Besso, Lugano, the Generative Center specializes in the research, development, and implementation of AI-based content across various fields and complex interdisciplinary projects, and acts as a center of competence for AI creative professionals.
With a focus on the use and creation through generative AI technologies, the Center is currently producing Echo of Legends film interactive series entirely created with generative art, dedicated to Swiss legends and myths. Additionally, it offers workshops, seminars, and participative performances on the introduction, implementation, and interaction with generative art in hybrid creative scenarios.
The Center's short film "The Wolf of Curio" has been the first film entirely created through the use of AI generative art in Switzerland. It has been subsequently adapted to a theatre production, and has led an in depth research into the roots of the Malcantone region, it's history, and dialect.
Monthly openings provide for exchange, dialogue, research ignition and laboratories intersecting art, sciences and education.
If you have a project you would like to produce the Generative Center also partners for specific film productions, putting into play practice, experience and expertise.

Exploring Creative Boundaries
Workshops: Generative AI and Innovation
Overview: This workshop will introduce participants to the emerging field of artificial intelligence (AI) applied to creative processes, focusing on tools for generating audiovisual content, both static and dynamic, as well as sound. The session will explore how such tools can enhance creative workflows, addressing technical and ethical issues while encouraging philosophical reflections on the future of creativity, artistic responsibility, and authorship today.
Objective: By the end of the workshop, participants will have a basic understanding of AI-based generative tools in various creative fields, will learn about hybrid creative processes that combine human creativity with AI support, will understand the challenges and opportunities related to AI use, and will have gained hands-on experience using AI tools to collaboratively create content.
